The Ministry of Immigration and Cultural Communities of Quebec has decided to limit the intake of new application for selection certificates (CSQ). The decision came in attempts to reduce processing times and selection economic immigrants faster.
The Ministry of Immigration and Cultural Communities of Quebec has received large volumes of applications over the years and it is beyond the centers capacity to process such application. Nor does the large volume reflect needs for the Province of Quebec.
The decision is expected to be adopted by the National Assembly of Quebec and will be retroactive from 21 March, 2012 and will limit the maximum number of Investor applications to 2700.
Self employed and Entrepreneur application will be limited to 215 applications. Permanent Workers will be divided into two categories, one which will be limited to 14,300 applications.
Sponsorship applications and applications based on humanitarian grounds will not be affected by this decision.
